Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are a common condition that causes pain and discomfort in the jaw and temporomandibular joint region. However, many physical therapists lack the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to effectively treat this condition. This lack of expertise can lead to inadequate treatment and unsatisfactory outcomes for patients with TMD. Furthermore, patients may experience chronic pain and functional limitations that negatively affect their quality of life. The Craniomandibular Rehabilitation Course has been specifically designed to provide physiotherapists with the theoretical and practical skills necessary to successfully treat temporomandibular disorders. During the course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the temporomandibular joints, as well as the main pathologies associated with TMD. Furthermore, they will be introduced to various manual therapy techniques specific to the treatment of temporomandibular disorders, including mobilization exercises and manipulation of the mandibular joint. These techniques will be practiced during practical sessions led by experts in the field.
